Use Of Reusable Bags For A Better Future And A Cleaner Planet

We all like reusing our stuff again. We are quite satisfied if one thing brought can serve many purposes. So why not shopping bags. As we all are witnessing eroding environmental conditions today, we must give a though towards making better for us and other inhabitants of the planet. And for doing this we don’t need to use any rocket-science. One should make an effort on individual part and then together it would form a huger platform and bring about a substantial change in the condition of the atmosphere.

We can start by changing some old and bad habits we all are used to. And a prime cause of pollution and a classic habit is the use of plastic bags. When we go to a grocery store and shop, we hardly pay any attention to the bags we carry our stuff in. This is the point that can change everything. It is because the plastic bags cause what is called land pollution. These bags cannot be degraded by the environment in a natural way so remain as it is when are dumped and accumulate to give birth to land or soil pollution.

To do away with plastic bags, reusable bags are being brought in action. These reusable bags are proving to be a boon for human kind and the environment.

These reusable bags are made of canvas. Some times they are also made of very high quality plastic or a plastic like material, which is not a threat to the environment. So when they are brought they can be reused again the next time you go out for shopping.

Many departmental stores today are also insisting the customers bring in their own shopping bags. So the customers are compelled to bring the bags from home, which are usually not made of plastic. Now the stores are also making a provision of buying these bags from the store on a payment.

The legislation in many countries has been enacted in the above said regard where the use of plastic bags in completely banned. So the government of many countries has taken the step o work towards this global issue.

This should be an urge on the part of every responsible person on the earth to encourage the use of shopping bags. Not only it would benefit us but also it is beneficial for the future generations. This is the concept of sustainable development. Otherwise the coming generations would be left with an eroded earth and no resources available to them.
