Cosmetic surgery doctors have noticed a pattern in their clientele. While a large percentage of them are pre-marital and looking to attract someone new in their lives, an even larger portion of their practice are acquiring cosmetic procedures have recently split with their partners. Many of them are people that are going through a breakup or divorce.
Many men and women are looking for something new and are looking to give themselves a little boost during a stressful time. They end up at the medical spa seeking laser hair removal, laser wrinkle removal, or some other type of cosmetic procedure to lift up their spirits and boost their ego. Perhaps the breakup left them with insecurities about their visual image.
Some medical spas and doctor’s offices have decided to take advantage of the trend and embrace it by offering attractive divorce and breakup packages with special discounts. After coming out of a breakup many people go through emotional stages. The first stage is denial followed by anger and resentment. Eventually depression and acceptance will follow. It’s at this stage that a person decides to move on and start healing. Acquiring plastic surgery or opting for cosmetic procedures may help get over the depression and give a person the emotional boost to let go of their feeling for that person. It’s a way of treating and pampering themselves.
It is important to have realistic expectations in regard to the final results. You should now approach a cosmetic procedure as a tool to improve your life. The resulting image will be a positive change for your physical image but it should not be confused as a fix for all of your problems. That being said, studies show that over 70 percent of people that have gone through a cosmetic procedure experienced emotional and psychological rewards after getting their work done.
